Answer Surveys and Earn Money

As the old saying goes, you can't get something for nothing. The old saying is right. You can't earn money for doing nothing, but there are ways to earn money by doing very little.
There are many ways to earn money by doing very little. Of the many ways to earn money for doing very little, two ways are surveys and focus groups. Both require very little participation from you. Two ways to earn money by doing very little are:
  • Surveys
  • Focus Groups
Surveys
  • Surveys require that you answer questions on a topic for research purposes.
  • Surveys can contain questions on a variety of topics including health, finances, grocery shopping, education, and more.
  • Surveys require that you answer questions posed on the survey honestly and thoroughly.
  • Some companies and research groups will pay you to answer questions on surveys.
  • Other companies will offer an incentive or prize for completing the survey research questions.
  • You may have to answer a short pre-survey, usually only a few questions, to determine your eligibility for a research survey.
  • If you don't qualify for a survey, don't be discouraged. Often research groups are only looking for a certain demographic (Hispanic) or a certain age range (20-40) or a certain gender.
Focus Groups
  • Surveys are very helpful to research companies and groups, but often more in-depth data is required.
  • Research companies and groups want to gather opinions on a topic from a group of people with similar interests and experiences.
  • More in-depth and detailed responses are needed than those acquired from a survey.
  • Focus groups can be small (2-5 participants) or large (up to 20 participants).
  • Focus group participants may need to share opinions, taste test food, watch a presentation.
  • Research groups and companies search for people to participate in focus groups who fit a certain demographic (Hispanic) or a certain age range (20-40) or a certain gender.
  • Focus group participants are required to attend focus group sessions.
  • Focus group sessions usually last one or two hours.
  • Focus group participants are often paid a stipend for participating in a focus group.
